Technical Information: Dektite Sizes and Roof Pitch Compatibility

Dektite roof flashings are designed to accommodate a wide range of roof pitches from 0 - 45° as well as various penetration sizes. The maximum roof pitch these pipe boots can handle is determined by the specific product variant. Each flashing features a flexible aluminium band, ensuring a strong, watertight seal. It is recommended to use a neutral cure roof & gutter silicone between the base of the Dektite and the metal roof sheet before fixing it down. To fix the Dektite down to a metal roof or other metal roofing component, we recommend the use of our 10x16mm HEX 5/16th screws as a minimum. Where the rubber meets the pipe it is also advised to silicone seal between the Dektite and the pipe. These Dektites are made from EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) which is a synthetic rubber that is designed to provide resistance to heat, light and, ozone.
